Work Overview
At the start of the COVID pandemic in 2020, Erzsi Marosszeky, Artistic Director of the community choir the Joubert Singers (Hunters Hill) recognised the need for creative opportunities to engage emerging artists. She commissioned composer Heather Percy and Melburnian poet Emilie Zoey Baker to collaborate and create a work especially for the Joubert Singers, with the performance of this new work to take place once lock down was over and musical performances recommenced. In the Forest is for SATB choir with piano accompaniment.
