Work Overview
Floating in Space contemplates infinite space and time. Meditative and expansive, the work is for solo flute and nebulae sound track. The sound track was obtained by astronomer Paul Francis (www.mso.anu.edu.au/pfrancis/Music/) using a spectrograph to gain audible sounds from electromagnetic waves from various Nebulae. These sounds produce clear pitches closely linked to the harmonic series, in this case centering around F and C.
