Work Overview
Qualifying is a Formula 1 term to describe the event where the starting grid for the Grand Prix is decided. Each 'qualiyfing' round is comprised of three separate sessions called Qualifying 1 (Q1) Qualifying 2 (Q2) and Qualifying 3 (Q3) where the position is based on lap times. I composed this piece with that form in mind thinking dually of the spirits preparing their fate on the track, and a metaphor in life when attempting to 'qualify', the intense energy, emotion, & propulsion needed to gain momentum
