Library shelf no. 786.843/LLE 1 [Available for loan]
Work Overview
An evocative percussion piece for students working with glockenspiel or vibraphone. The pentatonic scale cements the sound world of this piece, based on a Sung Dynasty hanging scroll of light colour on silk called Early Spring by Guo Hsi.
This was one of my early collaborations with percussionist Ryszard Pusz who taught at Flinders Street Music School when I started there. he was able to help with technical matters and to introduce it to his students. It was written in early spring.
