This short trio was written as a demonstration piece for my third year composition class in the music department of La Trobe University. It demonstrates ways to apply the rules of 12-tone writing without compromising one's musical personality.
Instrumentation: Flute, clarinet, bassoon.
Duration: 4 min.
Difficulty: Advanced — Requires professional-standard agility
12-tone but not noticeably derivative of the second Viennese school.
