Move Records is Australia's longest running independent classical music label and for 50 years they have been supporting Australian classical and jazz composers and musicians. Move 50 is a landmark CD featuring twenty four Australian composers who contributed mostly original works to mark the occasion. The booklet includes the composers commemorations alongside each piece.

Featuring compositions and performances by: Tony Gould, Roger Heagney, Christopher Young, Kanako Okamoto, Vaughan McAlley, George Dreyfus, Ron Nagorcka, Andrea Keller, Michael Kieran Harvey, Brenton Broadstock, Christopher Willcock, Ros Bandt, Gordon Kerry, Michael Bertram, Eve Duncan, Don Kay, Kate Tempany, Paul Moulatlet, Andrian Pertout, Warren Burt, Simon Barber, Linda Kouvaras, Brendan Colbert, and Julian Yu, the talent and variety of music is immense.

The works vary in length and style, from Tony Gould's delightful one minute offering to an amazing eight minute piece for bass flute performed by Peter Sheridan. Many of the works have been performed by pianist extraordinaire Michael Kieran Harvey.

On the back cover of the booklet a poetic tribute from Arjun von Caemmerer sums up just some of the commitment Move Records has shown to the Australian music industry.

Move 50 will appeal to academic musical tastes, as well as to those listeners who appreciate both standard and experimental classical and jazz compositions.
