This month tune into ABC Classic FM for a range of live-to-air broadcasts, including the 2011 Musica Viva Festival featuring a range of live broadcasts from Sydney, including works by Ian Munro and a world premiere by Graeme Koehne. May also features a range of Brett Dean's works, a number of which will be broadcast live as a part of the MSO Metropolis Series, with the composer conducting. Other world premieres by Australian composers that can be heard in May include ten works presented by the Melbourne Composers' League in a concert recorded in November 2008.
Finally, for the outcomes of the 2011 Art Music Awards, presented by the Australian Music Centre and the Australasian Performing Rights Association, tune into New Music Up Late on Saturday 7th May for all the details.
