Clark Aboud : Associate Artist

Clark Aboud is an Australian composer and sound designer for
video games, based in London.
Among Clark's video game soundtrack work is 2018's Slay the
Spire, the best selling & genre defining game by Mega Crit. Using
orchestral and vintage synth colours, the music focuses on
supporting a dark and grand, yet humorous atmosphere. The
soundtrack was nominated for Best Music for an Indie Game at the
Game Audio Network Guild Awards. In July 2025, Slay the Spire was
performed as part of the Indie Symphony II with Orchestra
Victoria at Hamer Hall.
In 2019, Kind Words: Lofi Beats to Write To was released, created
with developers and artists Ziba Scott and Luigi Guatieri of Pop
Cannibal. As a game where players can write, share, and reply to
each other's thoughts, hopes and worries, the music was written
to support players' vulnerability and self-expression, using
ambient pop/electronic music, and various recording and
processing techniques for soft, lo-fi textures. In 2020, Kind
Words won the Game Beyond Entertainment Award at the BAFTA Games
Awards. Kind Words was featured in Science Gallery Melbourne's
MENTAL exhibition in 2021, and appeared in other Museums and
Galleries, including the SF MOMA, Smithsonian Institution, and
the ArtScience Museum Singapore. Its follow up, Kind Words 2:
Lofi City Pop further focused on, vintage pop, electronic ambient
music, and dynamic adaptability, released in 2024, and received a
nomination for a BAFTA Games Award.
As a producer, Clark has collaborated with and written for
independent songwriters and artists, with songs being selected
for Spotify's New Music Friday & Viral Charts, and Apple Music's
Best New Music.
