17 Jan 2012 Brett Dean's Fire Music: from destruction to rebirth by David Allenby
Brett Dean's Fire Music, premiered in Sweden in November 2011, will get its Australian premiere this February as part of the Australian Ballet's evening of new choreographies. Dean's work was commissioned for Graeme Murphy's choreography Narrative of Nothing, in cooperation with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra and the BBC Symphony Orchestra. The UK premiere of the work will take place as part of the 'Total Immersion: Brett Dean' event at the Barbican Centre in London on 17 March.
