Candied Limbs

Candied Limbs make free improvised noise like you will have never heard before. Bass drones intermingle with warm bass clarinet tones that are in turn mutilated by maxMSP processing. Harsh high pitch screams mix with warm subtle bass tones filled inbetween with mangled, spliced, extended, percussive and chordal environments. Animated in performances that can go from 20 minutes to an hour without a break, Candied Limbs don't sugar coat it.

Cat Hope and Lindsay Vickery have been active improvisors for over 25 years. Hope performs as a noise soloist (featured on Susan Lawley's Extreme Music From Women CD) as well as in multi bass project Abe Sada. Vickery has been part of a number of new music and improv ensembles such as Hedkikr, Grit, Alea and Decibel. Both composers and new music researchers in their own right, here they let their hair down. Right down.
