Born in Windsor, England, in 1946 Malcolm Fox held qualifications of A.R.C.M., B.Mus. Hons (Lond) and M.Mus (R.C.M.).
He studied composition with leading composers including Gordon Jacob, Humphrey Searle, Alexander Goehr, and Tristram Cary.
He was Director of Music at one of London's leading arts-in-education centres, the Cockpit Theatre. He was later based in Australia where he was a Senior Lecturer in Music at the University of Adelaide until his death in November 1997.
His music is published by G. Schirmer Inc. (New York) Currency Press (Sydney) and LaTrobe University Press (Melboume).
