Joanne Maree : Associate Artist

Year of Birth: 1939
My musical training in Piano, Violin and Viola commenced in England, and included wide experience in Musical Comedy Productions, also Chamber Music.
After arriving in Western Australia in 1965 I continued to teach music and for many years performed extensively in the South West. During this time I gained an A.Mus.A. and L.Mus.A. for piano and L.Mus.A. for violin.
As an experienced orchestral player I came to Adelaide in 1979 and performed with the State and Australian Opera plus visiting international companies.
For many years I was an accompanist at the Conservatorium .
Taught music at St. Dominic's and Kings Baptist school for many years.
I was Leader/String coach of the Unley Symphony Orchestra for 26 years.
An examiner for St. Cecilia Music Examinations.
Adjudicator for three Eisteddfods in Western Australia and three in Adelaide and also in Tasmania.
AMEB have published two works in their Viola syllabus.
Currently an accompanist for the Italian Arts and Choral Society.
