Murder is Hard is one of the songs from the musical Singing Flat by Brisbane composer
Craig Allister Young and librettist David Kidd, re-arranged for The Song Company. This
comic thriller was performed in Brisbane's Princess Theatre in June 1996 and revolves around
4 young men who all become involved with a beautiful woman and a spate of vicious murders
committed in their neighbourhood.
Both Young and Kidd are members of the vocal quartet 'The Clefhangers' and have been the
instigators of many concerts, productions and works for children. They are currently
developing ideas for a new Australian musical.
