Australian premiere opening at The Street Theatre on the 11th of August, Adventures in Pianoland chronicles the life and career of award-winning Australian music legend Jan Preston and how the blues-boogie-woogie-ragtime master learned to stop worrying and love the piano. This intimate engrossing combination of skilfully performed piano music, images, songs and stories is masterfully directed by award-winning New Zealand film director Gaylene Preston who also happens to be Jan’s sister.
