Three masterpieces in one concert! Strauss’s ‘Four Last Songs’ is one of the most loved song cycles of all time. Composed shortly before Strauss died, three of the four songs explore death with a calm acceptance and rapt contemplation. Schumann’s Piano Quintet will leave us all with a smile in our hearts.
