Vessels of Sound "An exploration through both old and new styles – probably nothing you've heard before. The Druschetzky's concerto for six timpani is totally classical and exactly what you would expect from a concerto of that time period (but played on timpani). The Psathas on the other hand is super modern and incorporates a lot of inspiration from traditional Greek styles and energetic 'filmic' music. Sandwiched between those two is 'Vessels of Oil and Air', a brand new piece by Carolyn Scholfield which explores the space between acoustic and electronic, with live looping, audio delay and synth backing tracks." — Steven Bryer
