  • Date: Saturday, 12 March 2011, 7:30pm
  • Venue: Beetle Bar — 350 Upper Roma Street, Brisbane, QLD
  • Tickets: Adults: $15

Event Details

Put 12 March in your calendar for one of the most interesting gigs this year; Nam Shub of Enki will be joining the legendary Pure Bunk, 'Godfather of Australian Darkwave' Browning Mummery, Sky Needle, John Willsteed, XinO, Tam, Ouija (from Lismore) and Undecisive God (from Melbourne) to launch the Artefacts Of Australian Experimental Music ...Vol. II 1974 - 1983 CD in Brisbane, at the Beetle Bar.

Following a very successful Melbourne launch in late 2010, the Brisbane show also links an historical and ongoing culture of experimentation in Australian music permeating differing 'genre' and generations. Most acts will interpret/cover a track from the Artefacts ii CD live on the night. John Willsteed will speak on the Brisbane 'underground' of the era along with Gary Warner's experimental films and playing selected material; and Undecisive God (AKA Artefacts curator Clinton Green) will present pieces composed for guitar and text concerning the history of Australian experimental music.

Presented by Obelisk and Shame File Music.
