Event Details

Atticus is a string quartet dedicated to the highest quality performance of the world’s finest new music. This new ensemble seeks to create a forum for the creation and performance of challenging new work and rarely performed seminal works, through collaboration, amplification and the exploration of the timbral and physical possibilities of the string quartet.

Atticus's debut concert program includes Liza Lim's Hell, the world premiere of Shaun Rigney's The Circular Ruins, Wally Gunn's Skin & Bone and Helmut Lachenmann's Streichequartette No.3 'Grido'.

Performers: Zachary Johnston & Lizzy Welsh - violins, Phoebe Green - viola, Judith Hamann - cello
