Event Details
Returning from a triumphant 2013 international tour, the Australian Youth Orchestra under the baton of James Judd is set to delight Adelaide audiences with high calibre orchestral works in 2014, featuring Ravel’s orchestration of Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition and Smetana’s The Moldau. Sharing the stage with the brilliant young musicians of the AYO will be trumpet virtuoso, James Morrison, performing High Art, a concerto for trumpet and orchestra by Australian composer, Graeme Koehne. The work's infectious rhythms and the flair of pop and Latin-infused jazz, showcases Morrison’s playfulness, warmth, and extraordinary style. Do not miss your chance to see AYO join with the resplendent Morrison for one night only this February.
Featured non-Australian music: Smetana, Musorgsky
