Event Details
A recurrent feature of our annual festival is the composer colloquium, a forum with a central theme or idea for composers, musicians and audiences to discuss and exchange ideas and possibilities around contemporaneous music-making. BIFEM is delighted to have composer Cat Hope convene a discussion around ideas of class and what its relationship is to practice at different career stages. With scarce sector resources and an ever-increasing pool of talent, what can we do to encourage equity in our creative community, and is merit alone really the key driver behind career sustainability? Festival artists Natasha Anderson, Jacob Abela, Dobromia Jaskot, Mark Knoop and BIFEM Associate Artist Lizzy Welsh will join Cat in discussion, and we invite you, the BIFEM community, to join the conversation too!
