Event Details

After missing out on celebrating our 30th Birthday in 2020, we are excited to bring you the news that our Gala Concert will go ahead in City Hall at 3pm on Sunday 29th August. Under the baton of Antoni Bonetti AM, the orchestra are bringing you a very special program for this concert. The first half of the concert will begin with Kabalevsky's spirited Overture to Colas Breugnon. It continues with a very special commission from one of Australia's best known composers, Elena Kats-Chernin. The concert will conclude with Beethoven's epic 9th Symphony featuring Leanne Kenneally, Nick Kirkup, Anne Fulton and Leon Warnock, along with the voices of Brisbane Chorale.

Featured non-Australian music: Kabalevsky - Colas Breugnon: Overture; Beethoven - Symphony No. 9
