This concert celebrates the creativity of women both in art and life. The program is diverse in style. Works by Australian composers Mirrie Hill and Katy Abbott depict different seasons. Miriam Hyde’s Legend describes an ancient Maori myth. There’s a dip into a Faery’s Cup and Limn by Australian/Scottish composer Jane Stanley. A touch of the blues by American Libby Larsen complimented by a quirky Exchange by Australian Nicole Murphy, Amanda Handel’s poignant Kanimbla Moon and a madcap Tarantella by Gywneth Walker
Featured non-Australian music: Libby Larsen - Blues in Six Gwyneth Walker Tarantella
