Event Details
This special early-evening Concert by Candlelight with Laura Chislett (flute) and John Martin (piano) will commemorate the service of the Hunter Region’s first Chaplain, Rev. George Augustus Middleton. You will hear music by composers who lived during his lifetime: Schubert, Donizetti, Franz Doppler and Reinecke. Australian composer Katia Tiutiunnik’s flute solo, L’abbraccio della Rinascita, is also featured on the program. Let your imagination be swept along by soaring melodies and beautiful harmonies echoing in the magnificent acoustic of Newcastle’s Christ Church Cathedral.
