Event Details
The Sydney Conservatorium of Music Modern Music Ensemble was formed in 2005 under the direction of conductor Daryl Pratt. This contemporary chamber orchestra aims to present the most important music from the 20th and 21st centuries, across a broad range of styles, with a particular focus on presenting new works by Australian composers. MME has performed at the Aurora Festival (2008 and 2014), World Expo in Shanghai China (2010) and ISCM World New Music Day’s Festival in Sydney (2010). The ensemble collaborated with Halcyon (2008) and Ensemble Offspring (2013) and featured piano virtuoso Lisa Moore in their 2015 Sydney Conservatorium Centenary Festival program.
Tonight’s concert will also feature the world premiere of two SCM student compositions.
