This event forms part of the Creative Explosion in the West festival in Penrith. The event is free for all participants, but registrations are recommended (please follow the link below to the festival website).

Holly Harrison: Of Cabbages and Kings & A Mad Tea Party (clarinet, electronics)
Paul Smith: Game Over!: Bridge (piano)
Ji Yun Lee, Wollim Sori: Vibration (clarinet, percussion)
Luke Bozzetto: Between Sea and Station (electric guitar, percussion)
Sofia Marita: Landforms, Land Forms (piano)
Petar Jovanov: Uznoski Suite: Tmurnost, Samost, Kulturen Razgovor, Pomegju Istok I Zapad (clarinet, percussion, piano, film)
The reed membrane and coloured breath from Western clarinet to Japanese shakuhachi techniques will be explored within the ‘single-note' aesthetic of East Asia through contemporary composition and improvisation. This event will provide composition and performance opportunities for UWS postgraduate and honours students to work with Ensemble Offspring exploring the intercultural and improvisational area related to Western Sydney's Diasporas.
