What better way to celebrate the end of the Darwin Symphony Orchestra’s 20th year than to indulge in the age old themes that are presented in Carl Orff’s musical and choral composition Carmina Burana. Guest conductor Nicholas Routley will be joined by soloists Hartley Newnham and Lorina Gore, under the bright lights, for this rich vocal and orchestral feast.
As a special treat, Routley himself will conduct the orchestra and soloist David Thomas in the first ever performance of Routley’s Clarinet Concerto.
Featured non-Australian music: Orff
