This album launch event, hosted by University of Adelaide's Professor Charles Bodman Rae, will introduce two new Tall Poppies releases in the series David Stanhope & His Orchestra.
Australian Premières Vol. 2 features world premiere recordings of David Morgan's Concerto for Solo Percussion and Orchestra; Andrew Ford's piano concerto Imaginings (1991); Robert Constable's Medea; and Eric Bryce's Concerto for Marimba/Vibraphone (1988).
Galop! Virtuoso Orchestral Transcriptions includes works by Liszt, Godowsky and Rachmaninov.
David Stanhope will talk about this series of recordings and play extracts.
