Britten’s justly famous A Ceremony of Carols and Charpentier’s charming Midnight Mass are amongst the best-known and best-loved of all Christmas music. Whether encountering them for the first time or re-discovering them as old friends, this is Christmas music at its best. Britten’s virtuosic set of choral variations A Boy Was Born will also feature alongside the premiere of a new work by ACS director Carl Crossin.
