The Adelaide Chamber Singers will offer up sublime works centred on the theme of renewal this October 27 as part of Musica Viva’s Discover concert series. With tickets to the livestreamed concert starting from just $5, don’t miss what is sure to be a beautiful and intimate musical experience, available to enjoy from the comfort of your own home. Ticket holders are also able to rewatch the concert at their leisure for 48 hours following the performance.
A fixture of the Adelaide music scene for over 35 years, the Adelaide Chamber Singers are celebrated for their rich, incisive sound and thoughtful programming. Here they celebrate the joy of live music making after COVID-19 made such opportunities vanishingly rare, inviting audiences to reflect on what renewal might mean to them.
This concert features works by beloved composers including Byrd and Monteverdi, while also giving contemporary composers such as Kerensa Briggs, Joshua Adams, and Jake Runestad an important platform. Uniting these composers and their works is an exploration of the meaning of regeneration, all of them grappling with the profound. Immerse yourself in these beautiful new sound worlds and take part in an act of renewal.
