Join the Don Rader Quintet live before the bandleader himself goes abroad for much of the rest of this year, touring the east coast of the USA.
Renowned for his distinctive style on both trumpet and flugelhorn, Don Rader has performed in America with many greats, including Woody Herman, Count Basie and Benny.
Based in Sydney for 15 years, he has recorded 10 CDs under his own name and has worked with the late Roger Frampton, Rhonda Burchmore and the Sydney Allstar Big Band, while also teaching at the Conservatorium of Music.
Tonight, he teams up with the same band that recorded Odyssey (launched with SIMA in 2007) – expect original compositions from their recording as well as many new originals from Rader, Masters and Walters.
