Event Details
Drawn From Sound is an exhibition of Australian graphic music scores.
Curated by Perth composer and sound artist Cat Hope, Drawn From Sound was originally presented at the SpECtrUm Project Space at Edith Cowan University, Western Australia with assistance from the New Music Network.
The exhibition will showcase Australian graphic notation practice in a variety of forms, featuring works by Percy Grainger, Anita Hustas and Warren Burt amongst others.

Afternoon Talk with Lee Harrop

After a 14 year career with the police force, Lee Harrop graduated from Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design and is now a practicing artist living in Kalgoorlie, WA. Her artwork is predominantly text-based and site or context specific.
As one of the artists featured in the exhibition, Lee will explore these concepts and discuss the background behind the creation of her work Dead Beat.

Having studied the history of scores, David will ask the big question of graphic scores; what does this squiggly line mean?
