Event Details
Geelong After Dark (GAD) takes place from 6.00pm-10.00pm on Friday 4 May 2018. This event activates venues and spaces in unique and unexpected ways. Central Geelong will explode with a range of pop-up installations, light shows, performances, films and ‘extreme’ art. Street corners, footpaths, laneways, cafés, cultural institutions and shopping centres will feature a revolving program of short, sharp, surprising presentations – the focus being on the ‘unexpected’.
Award winning composer Callum Watson has contributed to Geelong After Dark 2018 with a new interactive 10-minute art music composition 'Earth Wind and Fire' written specifically for the event in response to the theme of ‘Earth’.
Callum utilises the intrinsically earthy sounding Bass Clarinet complemented with Piccolo venturing into this largely uncharted territory with this unique combination.
