Event Details
The evening brings together contemporary music, field recordings and ecological listening, featuring three Australian musicians, Dr Anna McMichael, Dr Felicity Wilcox and Kate Moore, in a programme exploring relationships between music, environment and the living world.
Earthly Futures is an interdisciplinary research and experimental platform working across sound, ecological systems, fermentation, and living materials. Starting in 2023 as an cultural activation, the studio began in a domestic kitchen as a site for sonic and microbial experimentation. From 2025, the studio was formally founded and based at the heritage site of l’Usine Chapal in Paris, France, operating as a laboratory for artistic research, collaborative inquiry, and public programming and was formalised as a non-profit organisation in 2026.
Earthly Futures develops projects that explore how humans listen, cultivate, ferment, design, and imagine ecological futures.
