Event Details
ELISION is Australia's premier international contemporary music ensemble. Its musicians have established a reputation for delivering authoritative and virtuosic interpretations of complex, unusual and challenging aesthetics, often developed in close collaboration with the composer.
International concert and recording engagements received include performances for Maerzmusik, the Berlin Philharmonie and Konzerthaus, Wien Modern, the WestdeutscherRundfunk, and Radio Bremen, Festival Ars Musica of Brussels, IRCAM as part of the Agora festival, the 50th Warsaw Autumn Festival, the Festival d'Automne of Paris, transit festival, the Ultima Festival of Oslo and the Chekhov International theatre festival of Moscow.
Since 2009 ELISION has maintained ongoing concert activity in London and regular appearances for the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival. Recent CD releases include a portrait of Brian Ferneyhough with the distinguished Viennese label KAIROS, Aaron Cassidy with NEOS and Sam Hayden, forthcoming on NMC.
