Join us as we celebrate the first major concert of the newly formed Inner West Symphony Orchestra. Featuring “firsts” from major classical composers including Tchaikovsky and Bizet, some orchestral favourites from Elgar, Sibelius and Mascagni and new vibrant compositions from local composer, George Barsoum. This concert, led by resident conductor, Andrew Leach, in the beautiful Williamstown Town Hall promises to have something for everyone.
Featured non-Australian music: Tchaikovsky - Symphony No 1 in G Minor Movement 4, Georges Bizet - Carmen Suite No.1, Jean Sibelius - Op.10 Karelia Overture, Elgar - Enigma Variations IX Nimrod, Pietro Mascagni - Intermezzo from Cavaliera Rusticana
