Event Details
In this program Flinders Quartet celebrates one of the most inspirational contemporary musicians, Paul Dean, highlighting his genius as both a composer and performer. In a new work that reflects on the preciousness of youth and the wisdom of experience, Dean’s first string quartet is based on the life of young violinist, Richard Pollett. Wolf’s exuberant and vibrant Italian Serenade is counterbalanced by Brahms’ autumnal clarinet quintet; a work full of life’s beauty and the pain of regret.
