The Flinders Quartet has been at the vanguard of an extraordinary creative awakening amongst a new generation of string quartets. This award-winning ensemble is joined by Genevieve Lacey in a superb program that will include the music of Mozart, JS Bach and Elena Kats-Chernin.
The quartet’s musical maturity is the result of intense honing of skills as part of some prestigious international chamber events including Banff, Prussia Cove, The London String Quartet Competition and the Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition.
Genevieve Lacey is acclaimed as a recorder virtuoso. She performs repertoire spanning ten centuries, from medieval music to compositions by contemporary Australian composers inspired by her playing.
