New Weird Australia & Octopus pi present the third and final NEW WEIRD AUSTRALIA LIVE EVENT at FBi Social in Kings Cross on Thursday 16th June 2011 - rounding off the series in fine style, with a LIVE SIMULCAST BROADCAST ON FBI. Headlining this special night of Sydney-centric artists will be FORENZICS - the local collective renowned for their experimental and improvisational slant on noise, psych, drone, art rock & post punk. The band will be launching their third album, 'Build Ruins', a collaboration with Japanese electronic artist Ryota Yamamura and Joe Cummins - released on New Weird Australia's 'New Editions' label.

FORENZICS will be joined by DOMEYKO/GONZALEZ, the experimental / electronic Sydney duo of James Domeyko and Jaie Gonzalez, mixing a wild melee of instrumentation and sounds, and landing somewhere between Fuck Buttons and the Dirty Three. The band are celebrating the launch of their mini-album ‘No Way Back’, the follow-up to their acclaimed debut EP 'The Circle Trilogy'.

Also on the line-up, 'disillusioned punks' JUSGO MOSH - diverting their energy into noise / improv / psych territory - and four piece experimentalists ROBOT HOUSE, stirring up an eclectic mishmash of turntables, guitars and mixed electronics. Visuals on the night come from REDCELL.

The event also marks the second anniversary of the NEW WEIRD AUSTRALIA project, and to celebrate, FBi Radio will be broadcasting a live simulcast of the event on the 'New Weird Australia' radio show from 9pm. Tune in on 94.5FM in Sydney, or stream the show online at fbiradio.com. This one-off event kick starts at 8pm and tickets $10 on the door.
