The thrilling concert that decides the winner of the 2019 Freedman Classical Fellowship. The nation-wide search for Australia’s most creative classical instrumentalist 30 years and under is over. In an exciting concert that demonstrates great diversity, innovation and agility, the three finalists compete live in concert for their chance to win the 17-year institution of Freedman Classical Fellowships. The winner is decided after a thrilling performance from each finalist, with a special guest appearance from a previous Freedman Fellow while the judges deliberate. The winner becomes the 2019 Freedman Classical Fellow, and is enabled take the next step in their career with a $20,000 cash prize.
Previous winners read like a Who’s Who of Australian art music, including Genevieve Lacy, William Barton, Joseph Tawadros and Claire Edwardes.
