Event Details
Fixed media surround work with projections of the Antarctic, where many of the sound samples used in the work come from. This performance will feature a 15-minute segment of new work by Daniel Blinkhorn that is being commissioned specifically for this event. The remaining 40 minutes or so is a compilation of work that Daniel will diffuse in the setup. A continuous set, the aesthetic pallet is generally towards the “experimental” (without a fixed beat, focus on sonic gesture and musique-concrete-like design) however Daniel slides into beats and rhythms derived from the samples of the scape he presents, going into a fixed “glitch motif” of varying timbres.
