Event Details
Geelong Jazz Soirées is a monthly music series celebrating Geelong's strong jazz culture in concerts featuring some of the regions best established and emerging talents. This popular series attracts audiences from across Victoria. This event will feature local jazz vocalist Michelle Benjamin accompanied by Callum Watson at the piano.
Michelle is a renowned jazz singer with 30 years experience performing solo and in several combos across Victoria. Callum Watson is an award-winning pianist and composer having won the Margaret Schofield Scholarship for composition. He was also the Australian representative at this years International Young Composers Meeting in Netherlands.
The two will join for an afternoon of exciting jazz standards repertoire including works by Bill Evans, Irving Berlin and Cole Porter. Tickets are $20 available from callumwatson.com.au/geelongjazz or at the door.
