Event Details
The opening gala of the Gondwana World Choral Festival kicks off a week-long party, celebrating 30 years of the Sydney Children’s Choir. Under their conductor and founder Lyn Williams AM, SCC will be joined by their companion Australian Festival Choirs to present the world premiere of a new work by renowned Australian composer Paul Stanhope.
The Sydney Children’s Choir will also premiere a specially commissioned work by leading US composer, Nico Muhly.
Choirs include: Sydney Children’s Choir, Gondwana Indigenous Children’s Choir, Gondwana Latitude 34, Hunter Singers, Luminescence Children’s Choir, Resonance of Birralee, Valla Voices, and Young Adelaide Voices.
