In this exciting collaboration, leading Australian pianist and composer Tom O’Halloran will combine his sublime musicality with the fire of the emerging ensemble Horizon Art Orchestra. This fifteen-piece modified big band will premiere new compositions that feature O’Halloran’s creative improvisations and mastery of the piano. The concert will also include recent works from ensemble members that showcase both the improvisatory skills of these talented young musicians and the imagination of the composers. Presented in association with the Perth Jazz Society.
