Event Details
Canticum Chamber Choir (Emily Cox, conductor) presents a concert dedicated to the memory and legacy of the great Sir John Tavener, who died in late 2013. Ikon of Light, composed for choir and string trio, is one of his most captivating works. The unusually late starting time of the concert (8:30 pm) will enhance the ethereal and meditative nature of the music. The concert will begin with a number of evocative works by local Australian composers.
Featured non-Australian music: John Tavener - Ikon of Light
