Event Details

Presented by Alister Spence and Nalina Wait

This workshop is an open-ended exploration of the nexus between improvisation in dance and improvisation in music. Nalina and Alister will discuss and demonstrate separately and together, how improvisation continues to inform and stimulate their own artistic practice. They will look ways in which improvisational collaboration can lead to strong artistic outcomes.

The workshop is in two halves. The second half provides participants with an opportunity to work together and investigate further how their own improvisation practices can be challenged and stimulated by this cross disciplinary exploration. There will be opportunities for viewing each others work, with a demonstration/discussion session to finish.
