Be moved by dances of devotion in this concert from Jenny Lu (piano) and James Littlewood (bass trombone). Their program, featuring works by Korngold, Kreisler and Joe Twist, is teeming with passion and yearning, and explores the sweet sorrow of star-crossed lovers in two musical interpretations of Romeo and Juliet. Selections from Prokofiev’s much-loved ballet score are paired with the performers’ own arrangement of an orchestral interlude from Delius’ opera A Village Romeo and Juliet. Join us for an intimate program of timeless tales.
