Event Details

The Italian Masterpieces recital for violin and guitar features the exciting and passionate ensemble , Guivio Duo , consisting of Victoria Jacono-Gilmovich and Giuseppe Zangari. Italian Masterpieces consists of treasured masterworks by Italian composers including Mauro Giuliani , Gioacchino Rossini , Niccolo Paganini and contemporary composers Ennio Morricone. Italian Masterpieces will include the World premiere of Italian-inspired violin and guitar pieces by local composer , Stephen Lalor , composed specifically for Guivio Duo. Italian Masterpieces will also feature special guest , tenor Daniel Tambasco who will sing popular Italian arias and songs. 2013 marks the bicentenary of Giuseppe Verdi's birth and this performance will feature some of the most memorable melodies that have made Italian music so popular worldwide. This recital will celebrate the rich ethnic diversity and heritage of the local Italian community.
