Event Details

Growing up in a musical household, Martha Marlow’s open tunings, intricate arrangements and pure voice injects her songwriting with an unaffected sincerity and disarming honesty. At only 24 she is a seasoned touring artist (touring with the likes of Clare Bowditch, Angie Heart (Frente) and Matt Corby), session singer (you may have heard her in Randy Newman’s 'It feels like Home” for the recent QANTAS campaign) and recipient of Australian Arts Council and PPCA grants to undertake a major recording project of her own songs with an orchestra and leading jazz musicians Barney McCall, Ben Hauptman, Hamish Stuart and Jonathan Zwartz.

This performance will feature unique material with a string section (led by Veronique Serret) and double bass. It will be a very special night of music from this local talent.

A series of concerts at Bondi Pavillion co-presented by SIMA and Waverley Council.

Performers: Martha Marlow, Jonathan Zwartz, string quartet led by Veronique Serret
