The Student Music Collective and Secret Orchestral Society, in collaboration with Carter Harps, present ‘Jazz Harp Concerto’. In their second performance of the year, The Secret Orchestral Society are excited to be working with internationally acclaimed harpist Benjamin Creighton Griffiths. As well as being the featured soloist of this performance, Ben is also the composer of the solo work ‘Concerto for Jazz Harp and Orchestra’, which is receiving it’s Australian premiere in Tasmania with SOS. This concert will also feature ‘Stealing Tutunui’ by renowned composer and head of the UTAS Composition department, Maria Grenfell, and Edward Elgar’s timeless 'Enigma Variations', all under the baton of Simon Reade and the leadership of returning concertmaster Kim Bishop. Join Ben, Simon, Kim and the Secret Orchestral Society as we present this exhilarating programme ‘Jazz Harp Concerto’!
