Event Details

The Bold, the Beautiful and the Bizarre! Who needs a soap opera...! With some bold masterworks from Franz Liszt, bizarre music from Dame Judith Weir - the former Master of the King's Music, and beautiful music from Bach and Puccini, this is a program devised by Merlyn Quaife AM with Thomas Heywood to ensure there's no "Who shot J.R." cliffhanger needed at the end! No one will be asleep for Nessun dorma, that's for sure! And, excitingly, there's also the world premiere of a new work by Katharine Parton! And all in the splendid architectural feast that is St Andrew's Church, Bendigo.

Featured non-Australian music: Liszt, Fantasia; Liszt, Monlogue; Bach, Air; William Thomas Best, variations on 'God Save the Queen'; Judith Weir, King Harald's Saga; Puccini, Nessun dorma.
